The Doosan Bears beat the Kiwoom Heroes 5-3 in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on Sunday. Doosan snapped a two-game losing streak and Kiwoom lost two straight. 

Doosan's bullpen pitcher Lee Young-ha played a key role in his victory on the day. Lee took the mound in the top of the seventh and eighth innings for two scoreless innings. He recorded five strikeouts. Amid Lee's good pitching, Doosan scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and eventually won the game. 

After the game, Lee said, "There are some injured players, including the bullpen and the starting lineup. I think the remaining players are doing really well. Our goal is to lead the team to a tight race (with no injuries), and I think it's going well." 안전놀이터

Lee Young-ha then confessed that he felt burdened because he was not helpful to the team by allowing two runs with his homer in the opening game. "I had a burden on my mind for the first game. If I had caught the game, the atmosphere would have been different. I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible. It's not all gone today, but I want to continue to pitch well," Lee said. 

During the opening game, Lee hit a come-from-behind two-run homer by Oh Tae-gon. He also learned some lessons from it. "In the course of hitting the homerun before the opening game, I got 11 straight fastballs. I overwhelmed the count and wanted to throw sliders, so I made the decision," Lee said. "(After that day), Yang Eui-ji advised me that since your slider is good, you can throw it even when it is a little advantageous. I am relying on Yang Eui-ji's advice." 

This season, Lee will serve as the team's core bullpen pitcher. Lee, who moved between starting and bullpen, will mark his first season as a bullpen pitcher. "This is the first time I've played a full season as a bullpen pitcher. However, I think he is the same pitcher whether he is a starter or a bullpen pitcher," Lee said. 

"They are very helpful to our team when they come back. However, we should manage and throw the ball in the beginning even when we return to the team," Lee said of his fellow bullpen pitchers Lee Byung-hun and Choi Ji-gang, who are about to return from injury. "We need to throw in the best condition to gain more momentum for our team. That's why I am advising them to come back in perfect physical condition rather than just focusing on returning to the team."

Finally, Lee Young-ha showed confidence in Doosan's potential and added, "I think our team has enough power to go up. There are many players who will come back."
